The Saturation 2011 organizers are now recruiting potential venues, volunteers, event curators, visual artists, handmade art vendors, and performers. Saturation is a DIY art and music festival that occurs annually in Riverside, CA. This year the festival will be held on May 26-30, 2011. Saturation is a labor of love, and it’s successful because of the incredible talent in Riverside. We keep doing it because it’s vital to keep up the hard work on behalf of the bands, artists, and community that make Riverside uniquely creative and supportive.
Follow the “Participate!” link for more info and to let us know how you’d like to get involved.
Here’s a slide show with some photos from this weekend. Thursday, the gallery opening at Back to the Grind and the performances at MTL after. Friday night at Tio’s Tacos, Clone Hero and Perrla at Worthy’s later. Saturday’s DIY Arts & Letters Fest @ Riverside Art Museum and the monoprinting workshop at Division 9. A few of the bands that played Saturday at Back to the Grind; Jesus Makes the Shotgun Sound, Halloween Swim Team, and Francisco The Man. Bazaar at Division 9 on Sunday followed by the after party at Back to the Grind, and the closing of Saturation with Sierra and the Bohemian Beat at Fairmount park on Monday. Although I did not make it out to everything that was going on this weekend, there’s a lot for you to look at…I hope you enjoy. Until next year… ❤ ❤ ❤
